Paramount Acquires Budget Horror Film, Hoping For Huge Success

Paramount Pictures' low-budget production company Paramount Insurge has bought the rights to the indie flickThe Devil Insideby writer-director William Brant Bell.

The studio is hoping this film will become the next sleeper hit like theParanormal Activityfranchise.

Bell made the film about a year ago, shooting in Bulgaria which acts as a stand-in for Rome.

The film will join the highly popular exorcism genre.  Let's just hope it proves a little more realistic thanThe Rite.
