Sir Ben Kingsley Joins Cast of The Dictator

Sir Ben Kingsley has joined the Sacha Baron Cohen comedyThe Dictator. We previously reported three women on theshort list for the female leadand now have Kingsley as a resident of the dictator's middle eastern country.

The Dictatorcomes from Larry Charles and Baron Cohen who createdBrunoandBorat. 

 It is inspired by Saddam Hussein's novel"Zibabah and the King"and will feature Cohen as a goat-herder and an oppressive dictator.  He finds himself completely out of his comfort zone when visiting America.

The Dictatoris expected to begin shortly and is set to hit theaters in May 2012.
